Planning a Field Trial
Entering Your Dog
- Add your dog to the Field Trial Hound Library Database.

Hosting a Field Trial
- The Field Trial Hound Library is located in the members only area. Log in to download a copy of the hound library.

- Enter results online for the Babbler (only) in the members only area.

- After the field trial reports are printed and signed, use your phone to create a PDF of the FT results paperwork.
- Go to the App Store > search Adobe Scan > download > open and use it
- How it works: within the app, take a picture. Then, use the blue scan another page button to take a picture of the next page. When all pages are scanned, save.
- Images are converted into an OCR (Optical character recognition, aka accessible) pdf file of your results.
- *To send results use "share a copy" to email the results rather than trying to share from the app.
- Report results to the FT Awards Committee and Tally Ho editor.

Tally Ho Magazine
Field trial results are posted in the Tally Ho magazine published by the Basset Hound Club of America and available to BHCA members.
Tally Ho editor needs to include: names and placements, number of entries, judges, vague location (no street into), and if photos are provided in the correct 300dpi format or easily adjusted for publication.
Instructions to make your photos 300DPI: [insert here] In short, open the photo in your photo editing program and edit to adjust the size. Your program will allow you to change the size measurement unit. Change that to DPI.
